Naked Imperialist aggression? Check!
Indiscriminate bombing and killing of civilians? Check!
Designs on another nation's energy resources? Check!
Remember all those breathless, and wholly incorrect, charges leveled at he U.S. at numerous "peace" protests concerning the war in Iraq? Well now all those charges are *actually* happening in South Ossetia.....so where are the calls for vast marches on the National Mall, or in Paris or Berlin, to protest this *actual* imperialist aggression?? Nowhere to be seen....
I guess all the leftists are on their summer holiday along with Obama, and can't be bothered to answer this 3am phone call.....

Also, Ed Morrisey at HotAir notes how certain Presidential candidates who might have shown outrage at accidental U.S. incidents in Afghanistan, now can't summon the will to interrupt a vacation long enough to discern between aggressor and victim in this conflict.

What an excellent point - but the left is going to 'react' to this war like they have any other. Being a shameless leftist means never having to say you're wrong.
If left in their bloody hands, I suspect they'll demand the Georgians put down their arms and stop provoking the Russians. Then Obama will sell them body bags and claim credit for creating 5,000 new jobs...

The American and European left will never protest against Putin, he might hurt them. It is much better they protest Bush, he won't even inconvenience them. This way they get to show each other how brave they are, risking Bush's thousands of prisons set up all through the west on the sites of those Japanese Internment Camps.
Those Camps are why Hollywood has been so silent, the dissent has been stifled.
Protesting a war in Georgia cannot give the left more power. So, what's to protest?
Left politics is not based on pure principle, but principle applied to winning elections.
