I haven't blogged anything in many months, because, you know...life.
But what might bring me out of semi-blogtirement is this picture....
If it seems familiar I offer you two choices.
Or This... Who knew some lowly campaign worker (Outside of Tommy Vietor) in 2008 would now be setting our National Security policy!
It seems that someone likes the Communist visual backdrops! Not a big surprise I suppose.
But as the title suggests, I would like to remind the President...
Everything we need to know about the legitimacy of the European Vacation Global Warming conference in Copenhagen:Climate summit erupts in 'deafening applause' for Hugo Chavez...
These are the self-appointed intelligentsia who want to run your lives....President Chavez brought the house down. When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
Great, our new overlords are Chavanistas. And they are too stupid to even see through their love-sick eyes that he is insulting them to their faces. This is not the change I was hoping for.On the flip side, something good did happen at the conference:Blizzard Dumps Snow on Copenhagen as Leaders Battle Warming
You gotta love the Gaia that all these leftists worship. She has a wicked sense of humor....
That polar ice cap looks pretty good to me....
UPDATE: More Chavez-y goodness over at Fausta's place....
When I saw this picture from a summit in Trinidad and Tobago posted today on The Corner, I immediately thought of a famous quote from GWB....

"I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and
trustworthy….I was able to get a sense of his soul."
According to the NYT, Chavez hosted a "meeting of leftist governments in Venezuela" prior to this summit. What with all that has and is likely to happen this year, perhaps the U.S. will qualify for an invite to Chavez' meeting next year.....
Now that I am back to driving on a daily basis, I have been taking note of the prices at gas stations along my routes.
On interesting thing that I have noticed is that the prices at CITGO are significatnly higher than at other stations (by several to 15 cents). Why might that be? Perhaps it could be due to the ultimate benefactor of CITGO profits?
For those of you who don't know, CITGO is a "wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela."
In other words, it belongs to Hugo Chavez.
Given the rapid decline in the price of oil, Hugo's little dictatorship is in desperate need of capital to prop up its tottering leadership and infrastructure.
Perhaps he wants to keep prices a little bit higher than everyone else to squeeze every last cent he can out of his most precious lifeline?
Who knows, but its just my observation....
UPDATE: Instapundit also posts concerning Hugo's massive revenue problems. Glenn had best be careful, or Hugo might nationalize Instapundit too....
